Concrete can crack due to corrosion, deteriorated expansion joints, incorrect concrete mix, shrinkage, or structural movement or tension.
What is stamped concrete?
Stamped concrete is concrete that is imprinted, textured, or embossed to mimic material such as stone, slate, brick flagstone, wood, or tile. Stamped concrete is long-lasting and easy to maintain. It tends to be more affordable that brick, pavers, or stone.
When is the best time to pour concrete?
Spring through fall are the most ideal times to pour concrete.
How can weather affect when concrete is poured?
In general, you want drier conditions with little or no precipitation.
How long until I can walk or drive on fresh concrete?
You can usually walk on concrete 24 to 48 hours after it has been poured. Waiting at least 7 days before driving on your new concrete is recommended in order to give it time to cure. More time will be required if heavier equipment or heavier vehicles will be on the concrete. Weather conditions can also affect this time frame.
